Organizers of the popular London Bridge Days Grand Parade are looking forward to another successful parade. Planning has begun for this year’s event set for October 26. The theme is “Living the Desert Life”. Everyone is invited to participate in the parade and there is no fee to enter. “We are trying to bring back the old traditions of London Bridge Days by having some performances under the bridge during the week before the London Bridge Parade. More details to follow as London Bridge Days draws near…” comments Joe Tobin, parade organizer. As the recipient of the Chamber’s Citizen of the Year award Jim Salscheider is this year’s parade Grand Marshall. Applications are being accepted through October 7 and are available here or can be picked up at the Lake Havasu Area Chamber of Commerce at 314 London Bridge Road. An email notice will be sent to the contact listed from 2018. We are putting some effort into getting help for float building. Local businesses are to help build floats for some of Lake Havasu’s non-profit organizations. Keep an eye on our Facebook page for information of float building assistance,” explains Joe. The parade will kick off at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 26. Starting at McCulloch and Acoma Boulevards, the parade will run down McCulloch to Capri Boulevard. For more information, contact Tobin at 928-486-6884. “If anyone would like to help with the planning of London Bridge Days please contact us through our Facebook page (LondonBridgeDays); we always can use fresh new ideas,” requests Joe.
