LAKE HAVASU CITY, Ariz. – Organized in 1970 and incorporated in 1971 – the Lake Havasu Area Chamber of Commerce is celebrating its Golden Anniversary in 2020-2021. Festivities, “A Night of Golden Legacy – A Bridge to the Future” will be held Friday, June 11 beginning at 6 p.m. at the Lake Havasu Association of Realtors Convention Center, 2293 Swanson Avenue. The event also serves as the Chamber’s annual corporate meeting. The very first meeting of the organization was held on June 19, 1971. Highlight of the evening will be the business and community awards celebration where nearly a dozen local businesses, organizations and individuals will be honored for their community roles and spirit of service and volunteerism. Nominations for awards will be accepted beginning April 7. Award forms will be sent to chamber members via email, but will also be available by request. The gala is “Havasu black tie” and tickets will be available soon. The chamber will make an announcement when sales are launched. Seating is limited and am early sell-out is anticipated. “It’s been a long and very tough year for the business community,” said Lisa Krueger, the Chamber’s President & CEO. “We can’t wait to celebrate our anniversary in person, plus the perseverance and resiliency that has occurred in Havasu since this time last year.
